 Who am I?

Some babies are lucky enough to be born with a silver spoon in their mouth ushering them into a life of ease and privilege, but that was not my destiny. Instead, I was born with a sharpened pencil in my hand, which not only made my delivery difficult, but also set me on the long, difficult path toward publication.

I'll do just about anything to get published. Here I offer myself to the Incan Gods. Actually I'm resting after a steep climb in the mountains of Peru..

My Accomplishments

After submitting manuscripts for 18 months, I sold my first story, The Desperation of Beauty to Delectable, a New Orleans food magazine in 2004. Since then my stories have been published in The Best Mom in the World, (Howard books); All My Good Habits I Learned from Grandma (Thomas Nelson), Love is a Verb, and Lutheran Digest.

BitterSweet  Chocolates, one of my plays, won awards in Virginia and Louisiana, and was produced in Louisiana.

DO YOU NEED MONEY?

I'm offering a $100 finders fee to anyone who is able to encourage their local community theater to produce BitterSweet Chocolates.  A scene  from  the play may be read by clicking on the BitterSweet Chocolate tab above.

BitterSweet Chocolates Has Staged Reading in Nebraska

BitterSweet Chocolates, my orginal award-winning play had a staged reading on the stage of the Beatrice Community Players in Beatrice, Nebraska, in March. The audience completed feedback cards and 87% of those in attendance felt the play should have  a full production in the future.

BitterSweet Chocolates  won awards in Virginia and Lousiana playwriting competitions.. In the fall of 2007 BitterSweet Chocolates was produced as part of the regular season of the Houma, Lousiana, community theater.
