POTLUCK PLAYS: On Sunday, September 11th, my 10-minute play, "Winds of Change" will be presented at the Allways Lounge and Theater at 2440 St. Claude Avenue in New Orleans. The play stars Robert Facio, Chrissy Garrett, and Susan Kagan. Admission $8 or a potluck dish to share with the audience. "Winds of Change," a comedy, introduces us to Tina, her estranged husband, Tim, and Audrey, Tina's mother, as they face an approaching hurricane.

The Silent Minority:  The joint memoir my daughter Amy and I wrote on deafnes, is still being considered by Gallaudet University Press in Washington, D.C. We sent our edited version to them this spring and hope to have a contract before the end of the year. Next year I'll be counting on all my friends to let me speak at their library and clubs so we may promote deaf awarness with our book, "The Silent Minority."

The Size of Texas: My play on pollution was a semi-finalist this year at the Drury College one-act play festival, rising to the  top 6 of over 200 plays. "The Size of Texas" explores pollution of our air, water, and earth with humor. The small cast (5) and simple set make it a perfect educational tool for schools and play competitions. $50 reward to any one who encourages their community theater to produce my full length play, "BitterSweet Chocolates."  This dra-medy won awards in Virginia and Lousiana, and had a 10-day production in Houma, Lousiana in 2007. Interested in reading the play, contact me at writer-rrg@cox.net
